The Macarthur Weasleys Quidditch Club, in partnership with Campbelltown City Library, is running its first ever CHARITY QUIDDITCH TOURNAMENT, in support of “PINK UP CAMPBELLTOWN”. Pink Up is a McGrath Foundation initiative during Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October), aimed to place breast care nurses where they are needed most across Australia.

ALL PROCEEDS from the entry fees for this tournament will be donated to the McGrath Foundation, under the “Pink Up Campbelltown” entry!
This is an all-ages, mixed-gender tournament aimed at beginners, also inviting experienced players to mentor our event participants and help introduce them to quidditch. The day will start with a training session involving quidditch skills & drills, followed by a friendly tournament consisting of short friendly games. There will also be a kids session at 12pm.
Whether you’re a big Harry Potter fan, or just love sports, or you fall somewhere in between, quidditch is a fun and unique sport for everyone. Now played in over 40 countries, there are over 500 clubs established across the globe.
The Macarthur Weasleys are the local region’s main quidditch team, recently becoming Minor Premiers in Division 2 of the NSW Quidditch League. The Weasleys will also be co-hosting the Australian Quidditch Championships on December 7-8 at Minto’s Kayess Park.
Quidditch is normally a full-contact sport, however there will be no tackling for this charity event. Players who are keen can sign up with the Macarthur Weasleys Quidditch Club for opportunities to play in local, state, national and international competitions.
